Die Gewinnerinnen und Gewinner der DINAcon Awards 2018 sind automatisch für die "Digital Economy Awards" von swissICT nominiert. Hier sind die Nominationen der DINAcon 2018:
Home Assistant is a home automation system that lets you track the state of all the devices in your home, so you don't have to. Home Assistant allows you to control all your devices without storing any of your data in the cloud from a single, mobile-friendly, interface. Currently, there are over 1000 integrations available which will allow you to automate your home with simple rules.
Public Domain Project
The public domain project is an independent community driven project to make historical audio and film records available to everybody. A lot of traditional archives make the same two failures: They don't work with the records, they just store them and second, they make it hard for you to listen to it or to use it
We correct both, we digitize our records and we provide easy access to it! That's how we understand an archive should work.
Opendata.ch Transport API
The project provides a simple RESTful API for Swiss train connections and departure times. The original goal was to make the cumbersome XML-RPC protocol used by SBB easier accessible to more developers. In 2017 the backend of the Transport API was switched to a service provided by search.ch.
Collabora Online and Collabora Office
Collabora Productivity is the driving force behind putting LibreOffice in the Cloud, providing a range of products and consulting to enterprise and government. Powered by the largest team of certified LibreOffice engineers in the world, it is a leading contributor to the LibreOffice codebase and community. Collabora Office for Desktop and Collabora Online provide a business-hardened office suite with long-term, multi-platform support.
LXDHub is a management system for Linux containers (LXC). With LXDHub you can visualize LXC images of multiple (private & public) remotes. One of the key features of LXDHub is to clone LXC images from one remote to another. Therefor you can mirror public remotes to your private remote. LXDHub should become the equivalent of Dockerhub in the future, but for Linux container images.
SpyPi is an interactive hacking device that lets students to step into the position of a black-hat hacker or data collector and perform attacks or data-mining in a safe environment. It helps them to better understand the power of technology and the dangers that come with it. The device doesn't intend to spread fear nor force a certain view on students, but to provide them with essential information and ideas.
André Golliez for Opendata.ch
André Golliez is the initiator of the open data movement in Switzerland and has initiated the Swiss association Opendata.ch in 2011. Without André Golliez Switzerland would have far less Open Data available today. His work was and is essential, in front and especially behind the scenes.
Sustainability Chain by Porini Foundation is blockchain solution openly accessible that solves several problems: It massively reduces energy consumption compared to other projects, the use is free if the projects involved work towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDGs and the profit generated with the usage of this technology goes back to SDG projects.
JSXC - The Open Chat
JSXC started five years ago with bringing standards-based secure and private communication into existing web applications. In those years, JSXC has greatly matured and has been tightly integrated into half a dozen web applications, of which open-source Nextcloud and the commercial MailEnable are the most widely used ones. JSXC is based on open, federated standards like XMPP & WebRTC.
FUSS - Free Upgrade for a digitally Sustainable School
FUSS is a complete GNU/Linux solution (server, client and desktop/standalone) based on Debian and intended for schools and in general for didactical purposes. At the same time FUSS is a digital sustainability project started in 2005 in South Tyrol, Italy. It gives students and teachers the opportunity to use at home the same tools available at school, freely and without any cost for families.
Lagoon is a system of microservices (independently deployable modular services), that takes code built by developers, creates Docker Images, pushes the images into OpenShift/Kubernetes, and monitors deployments. It’s everything you’ve come to expect from Docker, in a Drupal-friendly environment.
Free music for your projects, gifted by generous artists. Every Monday our robot fetches the last month legal and downloadable Royalty Free Creative Commons MP3 tracks from SoundCloud, Jamendo, Free Music Archive and Archive.org. That’s more than 50’000 tracks every time. He runs them through the Spam filter, sorts them by Hotrank® and spits out the #hot111.
Openki - The Platform for Open Education
Openki - a peer to peer school where everyone can learn from others. Openki supports the growth of active local communities which meet regularly through self-organized courses. It makes education a collective experience of everyday life, self-organized, participatory, inclusive, and fun.
metasfresh is a GPL v2/3 licensed free and open source CRM and ERP System which is used by enterprises in different industries and sizes throughout the DACH-Region. The system is used by small companies to run their CRM process on it but is also used by corporations with 100+ employees to run the entire company including purchase, sales, material management, logistics, financials, production, contracts, etc.
Delta Chat is a modern messenger. It is like email in a new dress. Just better, safer and user-optimised. With Delta Chat, you can write to every existing e-mail address - even if the recipient is not (yet) using the Delta Chat App. This is one of the biggest differences to other messengers: There is no need for the receiver to install the same app as yours.
Open-Insurance is part of the "Open Innovation"* movement @ Baloise. It's supposed to be a vendor neutral umbrella for all upcoming activities of collaboration within the insuretch scene.
