Jean-Louis  Raisaro

CHUV, Scientific project manager in medical informatics

Dr. Jean Louis Raisaro is a research scientist and scientific project manager in medical informatics at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). His research interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data integration, and privacy-enhancing technologies for biomedical data . Prior to this, he was a researcher in Prof. Hubaux's lab at EPFL where he earned his PhD in Computer and Communication Sciences in 2018 with a Thesis on the protection of health-data privacy. He earned his MSc and BSc degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pavia (Italy) in 2012 and 2009 respectively, with specialization in Biomedical Informatics and Bioinformatics. Dr. Raisaro is involved in several national and international projects such as the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN), the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health Security Work Stream. He is an expert member in the Clinical Semantic Interoperability Working Group and has led the implementation of RDF into SPHN. He is an author of several scientific publications about health data privacy in both computer science and biomedical top journals and conferences.
