Peter Hutzli

Swatch Group, 

Peter is with Swatch Group Services for more than 15 years in different roles, now inspiring and puzzling his platform team with crazy technologies like SPARQL. He is curious and always on the lookout for better solutions.

Other roles include husband, father, micro apple-farmer, historic house hacker, scooter rider. Often you can find Peter between 6 and 7 at La Werkstadt in Biel.

Peter holds a bachelor degree from HTL Biel and a master’s degree from Syracuse University. He is inventor of US patent US6628668B1 concerning bandwidth allocation. Prior to Swatch Group he worked with Fujitsu and Tenor Networks, a telecom startup, where he implemented network protocols and high-availability functions.

Current research interests include smart data applied to IT operations, graph analytics applied to identity management and knowledge based AI for auto-assessment of large IT infrastructures.
